To carry out standard Operations activities within the Shift Operations teams in accordance with defined operating processes and procedures.

The China Delivery Centre provides IT outsourcing services for multiple clients hosted globally. The monitoring and out of hours management of incidents for these services is an important part of the service and is the responsibility of the Operations Team.

MAIN ACTIVITIES:

-- Critical Event monitoring
-- Ensuring service availability in accordance with SLAs
-- Incident Management (Raising, Resolving, Callout / Escalation, Queue Management, liaison with off-shore resources)
-- Change Management (Impacting, Approving, Implementing, Queue Management and elements of Release Management CR coordination on weekends)
-- Batch Processing Monitoring and Execution of Critical Batch Processing to SLAs
-- Carrying out daily checklist tasks including client reporting
-- Reporting (Daily and Operational Reports)


OTHER FEATURES OF THE JOB (e.g. shift hours)

-- Shift Working with 24x7 without holiday exceptions (working 40 hours per week)
-- Each Shift is 8 or 9 hours long
A shift allowance is paid for working shifts.

REQUIREMENT KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Essential:
-- Clear communication skills both written and oral
-- Assertive
-- Ability to effectively follow defined and documented processes and procedures
-- Ability to work under pressure and to make informed decisions based on facts
-- Effective at multi-tasking / time management
-- Good Japanese language skill
-- Certain computer skills preferred, such as network, TCP/IP, software programming or system admin

EDUCATION, QUALIFICATIONS NECESSARY:
-- Essential - Diploma in Computer Science or Information System
-- Desirable - IT Degree or Equivalent

EXPERIENCE:
-- Open to graduates and/or minimum of 1-2 years Shift Operations experience
-- IT literacy skills would be desirable, e.g. MS Office suite, ITSM / Remedy, HP-Open View, BMC PEM / BEM
