Manager, Financial Systems
Shanghai Disney Resort
The Manager of Financial Systems is responsible for ensuring the integrity of the accounting functionality, controls and processes related to all Finance and Finance-related systems at the Shanghai Disney Resort. This includes responsibility for the Finance SAP processes and application support, Finance master data management, ensuring appropriate Finance system controls, monitoring finance systems and processes for process improvements and providing basic Finance systems project management and application support for all finance and finance-related applications at the Shanghai Disney Resort. Therefore, a high level of proficiency in accounting and finance (according to PRC GAAP, US GAAP and State-Owned Company requirements) is preferred for this role. At the start, this position will also provide end user support, training, and communication to increase user proficiency and data accuracy in the SAP system and other future, Finance applications. After system implementations are complete, this position will lead the team responsible for providing end user support, training and communication for SAP. This position influences finance processes and finance system design best practices, identifies and implements process improvements, system enhancements, and reporting required for accounting and finance functions. While the initial responsibilities for this manager will focus on system design and implementation, this manager will eventually lead a team of Financial Systems professionals on site at the Shanghai Disney resort who will be responsible for sustainment and user support for all Finance related systems. Partnership with Finance, IT and HR sustainment organizations, as well as with the Parks & Resorts world-wide segment Financial Systems team, will be required.
Primary Responsibilities:
· Apply expert knowledge and understanding of financial and PRG GAAP and US GAAP accounting principles
to our systems and business processes.
· Lead the design, project management, implementation and support of SAP modules for SHDR during the
implementation phase.
· Assist in the design, project management, implementation and support of various operational systems
that have impacts to Finance, during the implementation phase.
· Act as a liaison between the Walt Disney Company Parks & Resorts Financial Systems team and SHDR.
· Act as a subject matter expert and develop training content for the processes related to SHDR Finance
systems.
· Act as a liaison between application Super Users and IT professionals.
· Proactively identify problematic issues (data or process) and work to resolve such issues.
· Proactively identify and troubleshoot system service delivery issues and take appropriate action.
· Ensure systems integrity, data integrity and system functionality.
· During initial implementation period, provide user support; Respond quickly and effectively to issues
& inquiries. Eventually will lead team responsible for this support.
· Ability to document risks, gaps and controls for various systems & processes.
· Perform financial data reconciliation as needed, or lead the team responsible for these
reconciliations.
· Gather and communicate system and processes best practices to improve efficiency.
· Develop & deliver training materials & related collateral for Finance system processes.
· Perform system testing for new releases, break fixes, and enhancements, and eventually lead a team to
perform such testing.
· Provide timely and effective communication to the Finance community regarding finance system news,
updates, and issues.
· Manage SAP FI master data and the integration with SHDR's Front of House operational systems.
· Perform central Finance system governance duties.
Required Qualifications
· Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting and MIS or equivalent
· Minimum of 5 years comparable work experience
· Minimum of 3 years experience with SAP FI/CO
· Demonstrated strong computer proficiency with SAP and Microsoft Office within a Windows environment, with advanced Excel skills
· Minimum 3 years experience with SAP Business Intelligence tools (BW, Business Objects)
· Accounting & Finance experience required
· Fluent in Mandarin & English
· Ability to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment
· Detail oriented and ability to multi task
· Proven self-starter with ability to self-manage objectives in a fast paced work environment
· Ability to manage time efficiently to meet the demands of a flexible, start-up organization
· Demonstrated strong partnering and networking skills
· Demonstrated ability to improve processes and promote changes
· Excellent communication, presentation, problem solving and decision making skills
Preferred Qualifications
· MBA or equivalent
· CPA or equivalent
· Demonstrated strong computer proficiency within a MAC environment
· Minimum of 5 years of work experience in a multi-national company running a global instance SAP
