JD:
This position will be responsible for all aspects of development & manufacturing sustaining engineering for assembly and test operations conducted at subcontractors in China. Development activities will consist of new package process optimization and qualification, including materials, design rules, process controls, equipment, and documentation. Sustaining functions will include initiatives in yield and quality improvement, process audit, cost reduction, 2nd source qualification, new product introduction and qualification, and issue resolution. Technologies will include a broad range of semiconductor packages, including system in package (SiP) modules, QFN, flip chip and discrete packaging. The individual will interact heavily with engineering, quality, and supply chain and sourcing teams in the U.S. and will be a key local contact point to support key business issues at suppliers. Building strong relationships with our subcontractor engineering and manufacturing teams is essential, thus this position will include a large amount of travel and work in subcontractor production facilities, including those in China as well as in Asia occasionally.
Job Requirements :
Candidates must have at least a BS in Engineering or related field and at least 7 years of engineering/manufacturing experience in semiconductor packaging, preferably a large extent in working with large China subcontractors. Extensive experience and understanding of semiconductor assembly materials, processes and equipment, including die attach, wire bonding, transfer molding, and singulation, is required. Experience in the assembly of RF or gallium arsenide (GaAs) based devices is preferred. Candidates should be well-versed in statistics, process control, yield reporting and management, reliability and qualification testing, and package documentation and have excellent planning, program management, and presentation skills. Candidates should be highly motivated and have demonstrated an ability to work well independently and actively with colleagues at across locations, including the US. Should be willing to travel extensively in Asia and to the Skyworks facilities in the US and Mexico. Fluency in English and Mandarin Chinese is a requirement.
