Position: Business Analyst
Location: Shanghai
Salary: Open
Main responsibility & key tasks
1. Conduct product workshops to project stakeholders.
2. Gather user requirements; analyze requirements from business and technical perspectives.
3. Identify gaps between the user requirements and standard software products.
4. Propose solutions to address the identified gaps and user requirements.
5. Prioritize the requirements and gaps from business point of view.
Business process analysis
1. Conduct business blueprint interviews with business users, document as-is business processes and work-flow.
2. Analyze business needs and propose to-be business processes and work-flow which enable business effectiveness and efficiency.
3. Identify and validate key business requirements.
Solution design and functional specification
1. Develop and maintain company knowledge base for RSS products, project customizations and solutions.
2. Convey business requirements to the technical team including software solution architect, software developer and QA.
3. Organize brain-storm sessions with technical team on solution, design software customizations to meet business requirements.
4. Prepare functional specifications for the proposed solutions, maintain and update the functional specifications.
5. Provide high-level estimation on the software customization.
Qualifications required
Professional experience
1. 10yrs experience in analysis and design in software industry.
2. 5yes experience in retail industry
3. Solution architecture, consultant and pre-sales experience in retail industry are much preferred.
4. Strong technical knowledge in Microsoft .net environment, MS SQL server 2005/2008, IIS, Windows server 2003/2008, Windows XP/7, XML, web-service.
5. Sound knowledge of SAP IS retail, oracle retek, Microsoft dynamics NAV and other retail ERP/MMS systems.
6. Knowledge of UML and use case creation.
7. Proficient in MS office, especially word, PowerPoint and excel.
8. Fluent in reading, writing and oral English.
Education
Bachelor degree or above in computer science, computer engineering or information technology.
PMP certification is preferred.
Specific expertise
The experience of shopping mall, hypermart and general merchandise is preferred.
Other qualification
Strong communication skills both verbal and written.
