Position Purpose

The factory engineering manager position is responsible to lead the factory engineering team to deliver a total factory service that ensures the factory building and it's surrounds, and the plane equipment are capable and continually being improved to support operational requirements to satisfy AISH business plans, improve upgrade equipment and manufacturing processes material handling equipment, procedures comply with TS16949 manufacturing systems, within financial budgets and resource.

1Creates maintenance plan and publishes plan in public department folder

2 Monitors progress reports weekly / monthly to achieve plan

3 Regularly updates plan based on OIL "open issue list" to keep plan

4 Maintain equipment to deliver >98% FTQ first time quality and >99% productivity

Factory equipment predictive maintenance plan
1、Study all equipment current status and conducts equipment PFMEA reviews to establish updates to maintenance plans and spares to avoid unplanned downtime or catastrophic failure

Factory budget plan
1 Overtime control and reporting

2CAPEX plan measures and controls spending within budget

3Department expenses controls spending within budget

4 Provide monthly and annual department and factory budget

5Measure and report expenditure to approved budget

6 Team capability skills to deal with factory developments and improvements


Critical spares
1Manage all equipment spares parts requirements to eliminate unplanned downtime

2 Spares storage on site and at suppliers

3Request suppliers to have in stock major shared critical long lead spare parts for all equipment

4Identify and address any shortfalls to avoid major plant stoppages and risk mitigation

5 Negotiate acceptable payment terms and preferred spare part cost.

6Predictive maintenance plan unidentified critical spare parts to procure or preferred to have available in stock at equipment supplier

Quick response to downtime issues
1 Lead team to be onsite and address equipment unplanned downtime with 15~30 minutes

2 Longer downtime periods must have contingent plan to maintain production whilst repair is being carried out

3 Allocate resource to factory equipment which are skilled and accountable to maintain equipment to its original condition

Manage factory engineering team
1 Directive alignment with AITS factory global footprint standardisation.

2 Daily work activities monitored through regular OIL open issue list management

3 Overtime request and approval

4Team capability skills to deal with factory developments and improvements

5 Skilled trained engineers and technicians that are capable to maintain equipment to its original condition and fit out factory to meet AITS global factory standard same for all manufacture sirtes



3. Incumbent requirements

The candidate must be suitably qualified and have a minimum of +7 years experience in similar field. Must have previously worked in middle management position and managed a factory engineering team of engineers and technicians,

· Qualification :

- Masters in Bachelor of Mechanical and Electrical engineering

- Project management

- Management training

· Work Experience :

- 7 years factory maintenance engineering & management

- Hands on equipment maintenance

- Equipment design and installation

- Mechanical repairs

- Electrical repairs

- Maintenance planning and project management

· Report writing :

- Downtime reporting

- Overall equipment effectiveness OEE

- Team kpi deliverables to agreed plan

- Issue reporting teams progress in achievements

- Language proficient in English language skills

- Computer literate MS Office MS Project

4. Organisational Chart



Reports to Manufacturing Engineering Director-

Direct reports - Maintenance team leader

Cross functional report responsibility to Operational Director

5. Duties

Based at the AISH factory normal work hours from 7:45am to 16:30pm Monday to Friday week.

May require some after hour work to progress equipment unplanned downtime.

Scheduled planned factory shutdown maintenance responsibility.

Lead factory engineering team.

Report daily weekly and provide department monthly reports in area of responsibility.

May require some overseas travel to supplier of equipment and meetings at AITS global sites.

Coordinate factory layout equipment and building to align with AITS global factory footprint standard.
