- Ensure operation safety in lab.

- Understand and interpret basic flooring regulations/standards for lab testing and data reporting.

- Assumes total responsibility for the completion of assigned projects within schedules.

- Conducts a wide range of test procedures on sample to the applicable standards and interprets results of the test.

- Performs tests and calculations, compiles data and summarizes test results into test reports and datasheet. Verifies calculations are consistent with results of measurements. Determines and evaluates test result.

- Sets-up and operates all test equipment and performs all tests according to procedures; determines compliance with requirements and carries out specialized testing when required.

- Records technical data, and drafts test reports.

- Performs mathematical calculations required to summarize test results. Relates test results to product specification.

- Maintains quality and consistency of lab equipment.

- Acts as a liaison with other departments as required.

- Performs other duties as assigned by supervisor as necessary

Education & Experience
-Bachelor degree in science, engineering or technical background, or lab experience is desirable - Understanding of hardwood, laminate, PVC(LVT), carpet is an asset . - Laboratory skills, including ability to analyze data, Create and prepare technical reports, and interpret and evaluate technical information.
