职位描述
Purpose of Position:
? CGT is looking for a designer based in China. The main scope of the job is for the designer to build relationships with OEM design studios and work with them on new grain and color development for new programs from initial concept to final production. The designer will also be presenting our products to the OEM studios and reporting trend information from Asia to the main CGT Innovation Studio in Bingham Farms. The designer would be attending trend shows in Asia, and possibly, some shows in Europe. He or she will have a constant and regular exchange of information with the Innovation Studio in Bingham Farms. This person should have minimum 2 years experience in working for a supplier or OEM studio. Strong photo-shop (and to some degree Illustrator) skills, and be fluent in Chinese and English.
Principal Accountabilities:
? Support the design manager in rolling out new products and trend information to the OEM studios.
? Visit our customers in a follow up manner and provide design support.
? Support the Design Manager in the development of new grains patterns and color for the Chinese market.
? Work with our engravers in China to coordinate the creation of new grain samples requested from our OEM customers.
? Provide supporting marketing and trend information coming out of Asia to main innovation studio in Bingham Farms
? Provide photo shop renderings of new ideas in color and grain to our OEM customers in China
? Attend Trend and industry shows in China report back data to the Design Manager in the US.
? Support the design manager in seeing that we are sending out a cohesive global brand message.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements:
? Strong design abilities, freehand drawing, creative thinking.
? Computer skills: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator
? Comfortable in a PC or Mac environment, using scanners and large format printers.
? Ability to work independently.
? Knowledge of current colour & style trends in various markets.
? Minimum education of a College Diploma in Product, Industrial or transportation Design.
? Ability to prioritize projects to meet project due dates.
? Good presentation skills both verbal and visual.
? Fluent in Chinese and English.
