JOB TITLE : China Procurement Specialist

LOCATION : Shanghai

REPORTING TO : China Procurement Manager

SUBORDINATES : None

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Executes China purchasing/sourcing activities in support of global strategic plan for ensuring continuity of supply in chemical products such as SEY, ethoxyquin, benzoic acid, and fumaric acid.

1. Provide key support to local China procurement manager in helping commercialize
new products and to evaluate new uses of existing products in support of Novus'
growth plans.
2. Assess suppliers' products to ensure compliance with specification. Coordinating
and monitoring the entire order process, avoid risks, while keeping track of the
delivery status.
3. Assisting in suppliers' site assessment;
4. Prepare market investigation report;
5. Manage in general day-to-day transactional and performance measures for China
suppliers.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

? Technical college degree required in chemical engineering, chemistry, animal nutrition or vet degree
? Purchasing experience (at least 3 years in a related industry - chemical, food, feed, pharmaceutical industry)
? CPSM, CPIM, CSCP or other industry certification desired
? Negotiation skills
? Knowledge of quality control systems and quality certification processes
? Experience in auditing suppliers and with chemical manufacturing
? Fluent in Mandarin and English (written and spoken)
