ROLE PURPOSE:
? Storage System Administrator responsible for Research IT Storage Operation in Shanghai as part of IT department.
? Covering the following major areas:
- Technical storage project management;
- Maintain "state-of-the-art" and flexible storage infrastructure;
- Maintenance contracts and licenses management in the area of expertise;
- Maintain Quality documentation in the area of expertise (SOP, WI, OM documents);
- Pro-active storage provisioning.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:
? Operate & maintain leading-edge heterogeneous network storage infrastructure (SAN & NAS)
? Operate & maintain backup infrastructure which include multiple master & media servers
? Pro-active storage provisioning for all Shanghai researchers
? Support different storage and backup vendors (EMC , NetApp, ISILON, IBM, Symantec, F5)
? Organize and schedule maintenance following Novartis Change Management process
? Maintain storage Standard Operation Procedures (SOP) & Working Instructions (WI) for Quality Management
? Support and Implement Disaster Recovery solutions in the area of expertise
? Support technical storage & backup projects such as data migration & hardware lifecycle
? Manage advanced storage tools for centralized operations, monitoring & reporting
? Provide storage report on-request using existing storage management tools and processes
? Provide technical expertise to other NIBR system administrators and IT architects
? Increase security capabilities and mitigate risks applying security baseline
Minimum Requirements
? Bachelor degree;
? Minimum 3 years experience in area of responsibility: Enterprise storage environments SAN & NAS;
? Good track record in IT department in area of responsibility;
? Good experience in large enterprise backup operation environment such as: Symantec NetBackup or EMC Networker, Data Domain or De-Duplication solutions;
? Suitable experience in storage operation environment such as: NetApp FAS, ISILON IQ, EMC-CX, SAN Fabric Switches, F5/ARX File Virtualization;
? Experienced working in storage projects (on time, on spec, on quality and on budget);
? Ability to work in a team of 3-5 people;
? Practical, hands-on personality, results-oriented;
? Flexible to accommodate organizational changes in evolving IT Infrastructure Organization;
? Fluent in English and Mandarin.
