Service Delivery:

· Supports transitions and knowledge transfer

· Provides services at expected levels with a clear customer service and escalates exceptions

· Interacts proactively with all functional areas of the FSC to ensure appropriate accounting, financial reporting and settlement of revenue matters is accomplished

· Coordinate with local entity, FSC and outsourced activities to provide seamless service

· Proactively challenge the Status Quo, making fact based recommendations

· Corresponds to internal and external inquiries

· Manage day-to-day activities :

Reporting

o Proactively review accounts to ensure all financial transactions are valid to ensure accuracy of reported data

o Perform the preparation of month-end financial reporting in accordance with local laws and Novartis required standards

o Provide reports for closing

o Coordinate with external audit team for local statutory report audit.

o Provide support for accurate ad hoc reports to local Finance Management

o Implement accounting and reporting changes in SAP R/3 (PA / PCA) , and ensure proper system settings

o Support development of new reporting processes and concepts

o Liaise with relevant Novartis functions, providing necessary information related to the access/entities

o Closely collaborate and support accounting team in complex transactions to ensure accurate and complete financial information

o Resolve Reporting related issues, escalate disputes or coordinate with various departments to resolve

Compliance

o Ensure all processes, policies and procedures are clearly defined, fully documented

o Ensure compliance with Novartis Accounting Manual (NAM), Novartis Financial Controls Manual (NFCM) and regulatory requirements

o Ensure application of agreed Novartis control procedures and actively support to deliver SOX certification

o Promote a strong and control environment and follow up on audit issues and implement correcting measures

People

o Actively support FSC working style by being inclusive, proactive, respectful, and results driven in alignment with Novartis Values and Behaviors

o Act service oriented to enable service lines to deliver a high-performing organization and contribute to derive to improvements/standard solutions while cultivating customer service focus culture
