You will be involved in producing the full range of analysis for China carbon markets. As a senior staff, you will take some commercial responsibility when engaging with market participants. Frequent travel will be required.

Main responsibilities

• Gather and analyze market data to identify market trends in regional and national markets

• Create high quality quantitative and qualitative reports analyzing carbon allowance and CCER markets

• Produce and update price forecasts using timing impact model

• Respond to client requests in a timely manner by providing comprehensive answers

• Build and maintain relationship with key stakeholders

• Understand and analyze the key issues influencing the market fundamentals and trading strategies

  Key skills

• Professional job experience in carbon or energy (2+ years)

• Experience of carbon or energy related policy analytics strongly preferred

• Good financial knowledge (e.g., derivatives) Excellent communication skills, verbal and written in both Chinese and English

• Strong analytical mind-set & affinity to energy markets

• Strong adaptability in working as a team and making decision independently.

• Good interpersonal communication skills including presentation skills

• Ideally experience in programming (e.g., Python and SQL)
