Responsibilities

Assist with partial portions of all translation projects assigned to Project Coordinators. Individuals in this role are more inclined to stick to a Project Management-oriented career path (working to become a Project Coordinator and progressing to Team Lead or Department Manager, for instance).

• Organizing documents; Scanning hard copies on to the network; Creating spreadsheet (Bates number list); Printing files for big jobs
• Formatting using .doc, .PDF, and .xls files; importing images from PDF files to Word document, etc.
• Billing; Contacting linguists to resolve issues such as invoice/word count discrepancies; Data entry
• Placing jobs, setting up jobs; Contacting linguists, setting up deadlines, and negotiating prices
• Logging costs, scores, and general job information onto the departmental spreadsheet
• Perform other special projects or duties when required

              Qualifications          

• Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English
• Minimum Bachelor’s degree or its equivalent
• Ability to effectively multitask in order to simultaneously execute multiple projects
• Exceptional problem solving/critical thinking skills
• Ability to maintain professionalism in all situations, especially under tight deadlines
• Ability to maintain professionalism, focus and result-orientation under pressure and tight deadlines
• 70% on Phase 1 Final-Eye test
