Major Responsibilities

• Provide industry leading technical service support for MTO customers

  • Catalyst management, catalyst/operations optimization, unit troubleshooting

  • Proactively identify and implement opportunities to enhance customer profitability and upgrade margins through improved catalyst technology

  • Build technical credibility to the extent Grace becomes the preferred supplier and technical advisor.

  • Be willing to provide on-site assistance to customers to resolve any technical issues (this may result in spending considerable time at the customer site)

  • Prepare effective technical reports and communicate findings with customers

  • Prepare technical agreements for bid process

• Serve as a key contributor to Grace’s global technology group:

  • analyze the current state of the MTO process and anticipate future trends, developments and process capabilities, be an effective communicator of customer needs to the Grace R&D organization

  • Play an active role in steering product development

Required Experience:

• Master’s Degree in Chemical Engineering with minimum 10 years of experience in refining or petrochemicals industry of which 3-5 years in MTO process technology

Preferred Competencies:

• Strong interpersonal skills important for building effective relationships

• Ability to leverage own network and resources in the MTO industry to grow Grace business

• Strong communication abilities, effective in facilitating technical teams and senior executives in presentations and dialogues

• Good command of English language

• Self-motivated with a winning mentality
