职位描述

A. Position Purpose (a summary of the general nature, level and the reason why the position exists) The Area Manager is responsible for managing the sales and retail operations of the PYE stores under his/her supervision in order to achieve monthly and yearly sales plan for the respective stores. In addition, the Area Manager is expected to work closely with Retail Manager and various departments to ensure operation compliance with company policies and procedures. He/She is a rich-experienced professional in high-end retail industry. He/She is also responsible for EBD brand development work in Mainland.

1. Principal Duties and Responsibilities

General

a) Assist the Retail Manager in the recruiting, preparing and administering performance evaluations, and developing the career of all store staff under his/her supervision to achieve company sales and service objectives.

b) Responsible to direct Store Managers to ensure coordination of activities to achieve company goals.

c) Provide necessary training to ensure staff performance can achieve company standards and goals.

d) Present fully cooperation and work closely with other Company departments for any possible programs, monitore closely the execution results in stores and give in-time feedbacks.

Sales

2. Ensures the achievement on monthly and annual sales targets, as well as the assigned year on year growth rate and KPI, for the whole area and for individual store under supervision.

3. Closely monitors monthly sales trends and variance to budget of the area and of individual store, is able to conduct detailed analysis on retail data to find root of problems, to provide corresponding effective solutions for performance improvement as well as evaluation methods, and thus to strive for achieving higher goals.

4. Collaborates with the Retail Manager to establish area and individual store sales objectives and relative KPI.

5. Consolidates and report sales performance of area and individual store, ensures the sales data accuracy.

6. Provides solutions to drive more traffic into store, and explores external cooperations to seek for more selling opportunities following a cost-effective and PDCA method.

7. Ensures that the network of external relations expands and that relations with traditional partners and prestigious people are maintained in order to promote customer loyalty, especially with Top Clients and VIPs.

8. Informs the Retail Manager about any local events in the city and organized by competitors.

9. Keeps a close relationship with Mall and initiates positive cooperations to improve sales performance.

10. Is constantly up-to-date regarding men’s wear trends, knows and monitors competition and communicates this information to the Staff.

Merchandising

1. Ensures the retail operations meet budgeted stock turns and develop strategies to maximize sell through and minimize inventory holding.

2. Supervises warehouse stock and verifies that it is in line with the area as well as individual store’s sales potential and reports to SCM team and Retail Manager accordingly. Deals with store group purchase with consideration of store inventory level and replenishment capability by communicating timely and closely with SCM department.

3. Optimises warehouse management in order to make the stocking of goods as efficient as possible in terms of sales, in collaboration with the Back Office Operation and SCM.

4. Ensure season-end clearance plans are properly followed


Brand Development

1. Continuously seeks for appropriate new store locations which are aligned with brand image and with high return of investment.

2. Negotiation on rental contracts with Mall with rescpect of Company interests and cost-effective principal.

3. Ensure the effective and timeliness of the store opening work plan through the close collaboration with pertinent entities and departments

4. Work closely with the SCM/Design Department to ensure the appropriate quantity and mix of products to be available at store opening

Operations

1. Oversee store operations and ensure company compliance for facilities, security and inventory policy and procedures. Ensures internal procedures and store SOP are followed, can constantly optimise store operations accordingly to new requirements and in a changing environment.

2. Updates Retail Manager on the actions taken in the area (training, meetings, openings …) on a monthly basis and when necessary.

3. Keeps abreast of operational issues of the stores under his/her supervision by paying regular site visits

4. Responsible for ensuring that his/her stores maintain the appropriate image and presentation as set forth by PYE. Works with the Visual/SCM Departments to develop appropriate VM guidelines for the stores under his/her supervision. Supports Store Managers on the maintenance of visual presentation in accordance with the guidelines

5. Coordinates and works closely with I.T. Department on possible new systems for Business Requirements Documents drafting and follow up.

6. Coordinates time-specific interventions between I.T. Dept. and stores concerning possible system or cash till malfunction

Team Management

1. Works with Store Managers, Retail Operations and HR Departments to recruit a high performance sales team

2. Creates a team, whose activities will be coordinated in order to make sure that this team is always motivated and competent towards a common goal, and in a changing environment.

3. Ensures professional growth and training of the staff, by constantly stimulating them to be optimized on service level, on product knowledge, on communication skills and on mind-set maturity.

4. Systematically measures and rewards excellence in sales and service to achieve high standards

5. Supervises the Store Manager in store schedule planning to ensure proper level of selling floor coverage

6. Assists the Store Managers in ensuring effective communication and implementation of all new policies and procedures

CRM

1. Analyze customer feedback on merchandise and provide informative insights to Retail Manager as well as the SCM / Design Department for their consideration in future decisions.

1. Guarantees excellent customer service from cutomer in-store experience to after-sales service, and supervises stores to ensure customer satisfaction and that the quantative and qualitative standards required by our brand are maintained, and also be optimized constantly.

2. Promote the “PYE Shopping Experience” to the sales team to build a customer-centric culture

3. Assists Retail Manager on in store events planning and organising, works closely with CRM department on customer maintenance program such as GWP and promotions proposals to i mprove customer loyalty, and sales performance.

4. Monitor the development of the customer portfolios of the stores under his/her supervision, paying particular focus on VIP clients.

5. Promote within the sales team a “one-to-one relationship” culture with the VIP clients.

1. Oversees and, where necessary, become directly involved with executing sales with VIP customers.

2. Ensures that all delicate situations regarding customer complaints and the overall sales process are dealt with accordingly.


B. Academic Background (minimum and preferred requirement; include preferred discipline, if any) · Bachelor degree preferably in fashion, business or related discipline

· Master degree or above would be a plus

C. Working Experience (minimum and preferred requirement)

· Minimum 3+ years hands on retail industry at management level preferably in branded garment or luxury industries

· Experience in retail business, preferably in China and extensive knowledge of the Greater China luxury/premium market

· In-depth knowledge and experience in different aspects of retail management, including staff training, VM, inventory management, and business development

· Good mix of strategic vision and tactical execution that produces financial results

D. Language Skill (written/spoken and level of proficiency)

· Fluent in English and Mandarin.

· Cantonese is an advantage

E. Other specific Knowledge / Skills requirements

· Strong business sense

· Good trainer of sales skills and customer service standards

· Competent in common business software

· Familiar with PRC local laws and modes of operation
