Job Purpose

? Coordinates purchasing activities with manufacturing and sourcing departments to acquire supply in a cost effective and timely manner

? Procures materials, components, equipment and services as per business needs

? Monitors the cost, delivery schedule and scope of assigned subcontracts to assure highest quality at best value

? Lead improvement tasks/projects owned by SSO

? Conducts tasks in accordance with applicable health, safety, quality and environmental regulations (state regulations, ISO 9000, ISO 14000, etc) as well as Rockwell Automation policies and procedures

Key Responsibilities

? RFQ based on sourcing’s strategy and PIR input in SAP

? Expedite delivery to meet customers demand and assure continuity supply with no line stoppage

? Trouble shooting with suppliers on delivery. Have sense of urgency and priority.

? Need to manage around 100 suppliers( 50% domestic/50% oversea)

? Find root cause of issues and find solutions to tackle issues systematically

? Work with suppliers on Lead-time and Lot Size reduction

? Manage suppliers On-Time delivery performance and is able to find ways to improve

? Coordinate the Engineering Change Order and assure implementation effectively

? Implement Lean Supply Chain (Consignment/VMI etc.)

? Lead and manage continuous improvement projects.

? Interact with suppliers and various departments regarding procurement Policy & Procedures

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS / WORK EXPERIENCE

? Minimum Bachelor Degree qualification preferably in Engineering

? Minimum 3 years related experience in manufacturing environment as buyer.

? SAP/Lean/project management knowledge is a plus

? Has experience in data analysis

? Familiar with Excel/PowerPoint
