Supplier Quality Engineer-Asia

 Role and Responsibilities

1. Support all China and Taiwan supplier production facilities as first point of contact for quality issues.

2. Support US operations as liaison with all Asian supplier production facilities.

3. Generate trip reports when supplier site visits are made to communicate all necessary follow-up actions needed.

4. Manage supplier corrective actions responses and conduct follow-up verification.

5. Supplier production plant visitation (scheduled & emergent).

6. Improve supplier performance.

7. Improve channels of communication between Lucerne US operations and suppliers about product quality and delivery.

8. Work with suppliers to improve supply chain efficiency and sustainability.

9. Manage all APQP activity for new business opportunities.

10. Read and interpret GD&T, build objectives and help guide suppliers to implement controls for verifying product compliance.

11. Establish and communicate quality objectives among Lucerne US operations and supplier production facilities.

12. Coordinate general launch functions of new business between Lucerne US and Asian supplier production facilities.

13. Conduct audits on potential new supplier production facilities.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing or Quality Engineering from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience is required.

2. Working knowledge of AIAG core tools.

3. Experience with ISO/TS quality systems is required. Auditing experience is highly desirable.

4. Excellent problem solving skills, including experience preparing problem solving documents such as 8D’s.

5. Fluent in speaking and reading Chinese.

6. Fluent in speaking and reading English.
