职位描述

The Ultrafast Laser Application Engineer is part of the Menlo Systems sales team for China area. The successful candidate will be responsible for the technical introduction, products demonstration, and problem solving for customers for ultrafast laser systems, including optical frequency combs, Terahertz systems, and ultrafast fiber lasers for applications from precision metrology to material processing. The candidate must have a solid understanding of femtosecond laser techniques, and significant hands-on experience with ultrafast laser experiment. Significant travel is required. Combined background in optical frequency comb or Terahertz is preferred.
超快激光器应用工程师是中国区Menlo Systems产品销售团队的一员。成功录用的候选人将主要负责技术介绍、产品演示,以及为Menlo Systems产品(包括光学频率梳、太赫兹时域光谱仪以及飞秒光纤激光器等)的客户解决问题。候选人必须深刻理解飞秒激光技术,具备超快光学的实验室经验。本职位需要出差。具备光学频率梳或太赫兹时域光谱背景的候选人优先考虑。

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
职责描述
Application Service应用服务:
oUnderstand customers’ application, handle technical issue, work with sales and Menlo group, and provide technical solution in pre-sales activities
理解用户的应用,处理技术问题,与销售和Menlo部门合作提供售前技术方案。
oProvide technical training and products presentation to customer or distributor, and on techniques related to customer’s application.
向用户和经销商商提供技术培训、产品介绍,以及关于客户应用相关的培训。
oWork with sales to understand, analyze and collect market information on ultrafast fiber laser, and provide feedback to facility.
与销售一起工作,了解、分析并收集超快光纤激光器市场信息,为工厂提供反馈。
oWork with marketing department to attend seminar, academic conferences and trade shows, and set up demos;
与市场部合作参加学术会议、展会,并负责现场搭建和调试。
Sales Support 销售支持:
oAssist sales in understanding the customer’s specific needs and application, negotiate and close technical proposes with customers.
帮助销售理解客户的特殊需求和应用,与客户讨论并完成技术方案。
oAssist sales in visiting customers, preparing the bidding documents to complete the project and so on.
帮助销售拜访客户、准备招标事宜等,确保顺利完成项目。
oAssist sales to follow sales leads, update project status and provide relevant reports on time to sales manager.
协助销售跟踪销售订单,定期更新订单并向销售经理汇报。
oExecute customers’ visit together with sales for the marketing promotion and build up close relationship with OEM customers.
与销售一起访问客户,开拓市场、建立与OEM客户的紧密合作关系。
oOther duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS
职位要求
1.Hands-on experience in ultrafast laser experiment, background in optical frequency comb or Terahertz is preferred.
具备超快激光的实践经验,具备光学频率梳或太赫兹时域光谱背景的候选人优先考虑
2.Master or above in Optical Engineering, EE, Optoelectronics Engineering and Physics
光学工程、电子工程、光电子、物理学的硕士学位或以上
3.Ability to think and execute tasks independently
具备独立思考、独立执行任务的能力
4.Is able to listen actively, to communicate clearly, to cope with conflicts and to initiate solutions

5.Is able to initiate communication, to summarize results, to drive processes

6.Must be willing to travel up to 40% of the time
