Responsible for development and performance of technical sales activities in the assigned account portfolio and/or market segments in China. Translate market (customer) needs into unique selling points.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to

§ meeting with customers over the phone, email, or on site to assist in technical aspects of business development

§ Makes daily visit reports of customer visits and phone calls and report on technical issues completely and clearly and how to solve them. Report on the commercial potential of such issues if solved.

§ selected account responsibility under supervision of Sales Director China

§ maintaining records of customer communication and sales activity in CRM system

§ technically support customers and other members of the sales team

§ understand and translate customer and market requirements into an internal action plan

§ participate or lead in several projects or marketing segments

§ effectively solve customers complaints which are related to technical aspects of the product

§ identify market trends by attending industry and customer events and exploring publications and announcements

§ develop, manage and maintain relationships with key industry partners

§ assist in the development of the annual budgets

§ work closely with the product development department to develop, promote and create new products to increase revenue

§ provide market, industry and competitive analysis and stay informed of competitive products in the marketplace

Required education, knowledge and experience

§ bachelor of chemistry, chemical engineering, polymer science or related subject

§ preferably more than 3 years of working experience in technical support or sales of plastic additives or engineering plastics

§ basic knowledge of project management

§ PC proficiency: experience with MS Office and being able to handle minor IT issues

§ excellent knowledge of English in speaking and writing
