职位描述：
JOB SUMMARY: Assist the ophthalmologist to provide comprehensive international standard ophthalmology services for patients in a compassionate and caring way. Work as part of a multi-disciplinary team to address patient needs and grow eye care services. Make a commitment to continuing education, both for personal learning and for teaching others. The person chosen for this job will be trained to carry out responsibilities as listed below.

REPORTS TO: Chairman of Ophthalmology

JOB RESPONSITILITIES:
1. Agree (in writing) to abide by Jiahui values
2. Greet patients and do preliminary exam in preparation for seeing doctor
3. Ensure that patients are taken care of in a timely way and no one is waiting an excessively long time.
4. Do special testing as requested by the ophthalmologist
5. Help with patient education: explain common eye conditions, doctor’s prescription, and follow-up care
6. Make a commitment to continuous learning with clear goals agreed upon with supervisor; share learning with others as eye care team expands
7. Work as part of a team to ensure that patients’ eye care needs are delivered effectively and efficiently
8. Help to maintain electronic medical records
9. Be flexible to ensure that eye care services are available during clinic hours
10. Be available for call

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
? University degree/diploma in Optometry or equivalent
? Experience working in eye healthcare (3-5 years)
? Commitment to obtain certification as an ophthalmic technician or equivalent

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS
? High ethical standards and professional integrity
? Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
? Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
? Strong interest in learning and teaching
? Strong computer skills
? Oral and written fluency in Chinese, preferably in English
