Job Purpose
The Technical Services Manager will support the continuous improvement in the management of the International maintenance and repair (M&R) costs and performance of Suttons fleet and associated equipment. The primary responsibility will be managing daily estimate approval process and providing guidance and on-site support to any technical related issues within APAC.
The role will also support tank refurbishment programme of depot facilities in China and SE Asia.
In addition to technical tasks there is a requirement to assist in the development of operating procedures to improve and enhance the M&R Process; this will require regular liaison and correspondence with relevant stakeholders.
This person will be based in China and will report to the Technical Services Director.

Key Accountabilities:
1.Manage estimate approval process and process the estimate in Suttons In-house system
2.Negotiate the estimate rates with the depots.
3.Manage the depot performance within APAC and establish improvement plan accordingly
4.Establish user-friendly written manual of estimate approval standard.
5.Lead the incident/accident investigations within APAC.
6.Provide guidance and on-site support to any technical related issues within APAC.
7.Assist in the specifications of all "new-build' equipment and ensuring that existing equipment meets legislative and operational standards.
8.Work with the counterpart in UK Headquarter closely and have regular communication to share any technical issues.
9.Provide technical training to other internal parties or customers.
10.Attend customer meeting with department if required.
11.Support development of M&R management strategy and plans, including resource, systems, timescales and financials to support Sutton's annual business plan and long term strategy.
12.Liaise with operational teams, customers, suppliers and service providers to maintain excellent service standards and build appropriate relationships.
13.Support the development, management and monitoring of standards, processes, communications, training and systems to ensure the following specific aspects.
