Job description
--Responsible for the implementation and ongoing management of the iSAMS database in order to help establish an efficient and effective database administration system within the school with the guidance of Head Office
. Acts as the lead for the use iSAMS and maintains accurate data within the sys-tem, including supporting staff with its use.
. Installing database server and conjuring new modules
. Ensures data is entered/edited correctly
. Troubleshooting system hardware and software problems and solving problems with local users and IT staff
. Ensures the system is set up appropriately and is fit for purpose to meet the needs of the school and its users
. Maintains data standards including Data Protection Act

--Responsible for training and developing iSAMS users according to their role
. Acts as an effective member of the team, supporting other colleagues with work when required and undertaking special tasks as necessary
. Identifies and works with key staff to support the training, development and implementation of iSAMS across the school.
. Trains and updates colleagues on areas of work, including developing guidance notes and documents, in order to help ensure a shared understanding of roles within the team
. Has frequent communication with all users and on hand to offer support and guidance to all staff

--Responsible for report production and data analysis
.Responds to face to face queries, tele-phone calls, emails and related to data analysis
.Correspondence always given in a timely and appropriate manner.

--Testing and evaluating new technology in conjunction with the UK and Asia Regional Support Team
. Researches new technology and frequently communicates with other IT departments

--To update technical knowledge and skills by attending in-house and/ or external courses, reading manuals and accessing other web based research materials) iSAMS blogs, forums and other publicly available information appropriate to the product
. Undertakes training and learns new skills relevant to role as and when required

Qualifications
--Bachelor degree or above
At least three years relevant experience working with Software packages
--SQL Experience
System configuration, XML coding and SQL scripting
Experience of reporting to senior managers and providing strategic direction in the management of data
--Excellent English, interpersonal and communication skills
Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships at all levels
--A professional, proactive and adaptable approach to work with a ‘can-do’ approach
Work as part of a team and independently
Commitment to the personal welfare and safeguarding of children
