Mainly handle woven garments
The Purchasing Merchandiser is accountable to:
? Drive the development, quotation and order follow-up processes according to the set strategy
? Secure global best buy, global best in-price and global on-time delivery
Main Responsibilities
? Always look for new opportunities, suggest solutions and work proactively in order to secure the best price, quality and lead time
? Analyze the requests (developments/quotation) to be sure that all details are clear and if not, revert to the Buying Office.
? Distribute developments/quotations to the best suitable Production Office according to the set strategy and market capability
? Drive and follow up the developments of components/products
? Collect developments/quotation samples from Production Offices and evaluate and select the best global deal together with the team
? Send best options to buyers to review and comment
? Secure the handover process with the full package to the Production Office when market choice is confirmed
? Provide feedback to markets about dropped developments & quotations
? Write split orders based on landed cost opportunities
? Seek knowledge of production market capability, skills and capacity and conduct constant risk analysis on a product level
? Conduct risk assessment in the development stage to take necessary actions to produce the best product
? Communicate with the Buying Office and Production Office in a clear and efficient way
? Support the growth of the Purchasing Merchandiser Assistant by inspiration, delegation, feedback and motivation
Knowledge and Skills requirements
? Excellent written and spoken English
? Good knowledge of production markets concerning price, quality, capacity ,capabilities and lead time
? Experience with small quantity orders
? Strong knowledge of the Buying Office & Supply Chain setup, product development & purchasing process, working methods and timeline
? Strong quotation knowledge
