About the job
Site Reliability Engineering is a discipline that incorporates aspects of software engineering and applies that to operations, whose goals are to create ultra-scalable and highly reliable software systems.
A site reliability engineer (SRE) will ideally spend up to 50% of their time doing "ops" related work such as issues, on-call, and manual intervention. Since the system that an SRE oversees is expected to be highly automatic and self-healing, the SRE should spend the other 50% of their time on development tasks such as new features, scaling or automation. The ideal SRE candidate is a coder who also has operational, systems or networking knowledge and likes to whittle down complex tasks.
 Responsibilities
-Design and integrate the whole technical solution as exposed to customers.
-Design, validate and implement highly scalable and reliable infrastructures.
-Develop software deployment automation tools.
-Ensure 24/7 system availability and be available for on-call support, carefully responding to Incidents Responses Processes (IRP).
-Set and measure Service Level Objectives (SLO) through Service Level Indicators (SLI) as to ensure the good functioning of the solution, regardless of the volume of concurrent users.
-Work in close relationship with architects, R&D development teams, validation teams and technical support.
-Be strong: be aware that outages will occur and are part of natural system life. Be prepared to always raise the challenge and always look for enhancements. “Hope for the best, prepare for the worse”.

Skills
-Curious, open minded, eager to learn, fix and master pretty much everything.
-Strong knowledge of GNU/Linux operating system (Debian is a plus) and networking.
-Automation, High Availability, Scalability, Redundancy, Backup & Restore
-Experience is distributed solution architecture and deployment is a plus.
-Knowledge of Git, Ansible, Python, Go, REST APIs.
-Knowledge of JavaScript, NodeJS, XMPP, Erlang is a nice bonus.
