Job Description,
This position is offered in MEMSIC Semiconductor Reliability Assurance Group. The position identifies and manages reliability risks that could adversely affect products/processes and guides the New Product Development (NPD) team towards reliable design of new product/process technology. In addition, the position leads and maintains MEMSICs Ongoing Reliability Tests/Program for mass production product.
1.Identify high risk failure modes early in the design life cycle;
2.Develop new tests based on the physics of failure and any novel user interactions that the new technology enables;
3.Drive test equipment and test specs that are critical for validation of reliability;
4.Assess reliability through stress testing, with data and failure analysis;
5.Provide direction for failure analysis to identify physic of failure and drives root cause and corrective action (FRACAS)
Job Requirement,
1.Strong understanding of material properties (mechanical, electrical, and optical) and the physics involved with their interaction;
2.Hands on mechanical test experience (tensile/compression testing, impact testing, hardness testing, etc.)
3.Extensive knowledge of JEDEC test methods and science behind such tests;
4.Extensive experience with Design and Process Failure Mode Effects Analyses;
5.Experienced with various data analysis techniques that can include: Statistical Process Control, Reliability Modeling and Prediction, Fault Tree Analysis, Weibull Analysis, and Six Sigma Sigma Methodology;
6.Adept in statistical data analysis (MINITAB or similar)
7.Exceptional analytical and problem solving abilities;
8.Experience leading and organizing a Reliability Assurance function;
9.Excellent oral, written and verbal communication skills (CET required)
10.Strong attention to detail;
11.Ability to manage multiple projects at once;
12.Ability to complete tests and resolve problems in an unattended manner;
13.Flexibility and adaptability to accept new tasks;
14.Dynamic and can do attitude engineer with the desire to work with a great team and product.
