职位描述：
Specific Duties:
I. Planning & Administration
? Ensures all duties of this position are carried out according to safe work practices consistent with corporate policy. Emphasizes Employee Involvement and Teamwork, while acting as an Agent of Change, Leader and Coach in the I. S. Team.
? Institutes planning and control methodologies throughout the Department to improve customer satisfaction, employee productivity and product quality.
? Continually publishes and updates a composite project schedule that tracks the progress of all projects against estimates and plans.
? Implements and monitors Departmental standards and procedures.
? Continually analyzes new methodologies, and recommends the use of new technologies as appropriate.
? Establishes internal Department goals and works with management to develop programs to measure performance and achieve goals.
? Provides superior customer service to a large, user base.
? Consistently meets assignment target completion dates.
? Develops and/or reviews work plans, test plans, implementation plans, and contingency plans for a project, or specific components of a project.
? Participates in the development and maintenance of Information Services standards and procedures.
? Consistently is punctual for all meetings
? Consistently follows up and performs closure in a timely fashion with users, other I/S associates, and supervisors on the status and resolution of issues and questions.
? Performs other related duties and special projects as required.

II. Knowledge, skills, and abilities:
? Develops project plan by outlining steps required to complete a project and
 implementation schedule.
1. Reads and researches technical literature to determine benefits, capabilities, installation, requirements and procedures.

2. Analyzes effect of products memory utilization, peripheral storage availability, interface with other system software products and other operating system parameters.

3. Determines preferred options and priority of acceptance evaluation criteria.

4. Installs, supervises and/or conducts tests, and measures software performance.

5. Make recommendations and documents findings as necessary.

6. Identifies and resolves problems.

? Installs system software, updates and replacements using product specific installation methods and tools.

? Organizes, allocates, and supervises use of disk space for libraries, files, and common
work space.

? Designs, writes, and maintains common procedures, for desktop operating systems .

? Provides technical support services to computing center

? Monitors performance of system components through analysis of reports and/or on-line monitors.

? Runs hardware and software diagnostic procedures.

? Classifies problems as hardware, software, procedural, or resource (limitation/design).

? Coordinates resolution with management and vendor.

? Applies fixes to software or changes to procedures to solve problems.

? Works with application programming staff as required in developing optimum system solutions and debugging, and answering questions by evaluating system messages, dumps, and researching source code.

Education and experience:

Bachelor degree ;
Three or more years of relevant work experience preferably with an information services organization, serving as Desktop/Server support.

Environment:

Similar to like positions in major, multi-plant manufacturing or service organizations.
