Looking for Technical Sales Director – China/APAC for Elatec
Elatec is a global leader in the multi-standard RFID solution space. The company was established in 1988 and is headquartered in Munich, Germany. Elatec’s current business focuses on multi-protocol RFID reader technology and related software solutions.
As Technical Sales Director, you will be in charge or take part in following activities:
? Lead the development and implementation of sales to establish and maintain deep and lasting relationships with customers via sales channel and service delivery in China and APAC
? Target global and regional leaders in the print and document solution, security and verification solution, and IoT solution spaces to drive China and APAC regional sales channels to meet Elatec’s business objectives, including business development, direct sales strategies to support the long-term vision and shorter-term goals & objectives of the organization.
? Engage and support customer R&D, product development, marketing, and solutions teams to ensure Elatec meets customer specific hardware, firmware, and software needs.
? Coordinate with global and regional software solution partners to meet end customer requirements.
? Carry out regulatory watch on RFID product requirements and certifications for Elatec expansion in China and beyond in APAC.
? This position will require travel of approximately 70% of the time.
Main Responsibilities
? Lead day-to-day business development and sales operations, maintaining and developing relations with customers.
? Spearhead expansion of the organization’s business in China and APAC.
? Develop and manage local sales team to achieve or exceed sales, profit and growth target.
? Manage local technical support team to meet or exceed customer service expectations.
? Develop and manage relations with regional distributors and solution partners.
? Oversee regional financial and trade-related operations.
? Plan and execute marketing program and activities in the region, ensuring a balance of investment and return.
Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree or above in STEM subject
? 7+ years technical sales experience, preferably involving print, security, or access control solutions.
? Experience with RFID/IoT technology and management platforms.
? Experience building and managing a team of sales and technical professionals.
? Knowledge of the print and document management, security and access control, EV car, IoT, and IT system integration spaces.
? Excellent interpersonal skills, rigor, independence, strength of proposition, good faculty analysis and synthesis.
? Fluency in Standard Mandarin and English (proficiency in German or Japanese is preferred)
