Job description
Responsibilities include but are not limited to the coordination of Sea freight/Air freight/Train shipments such as, production of internal documentation, updating export statuses, assisting and advising customers on departure, arranging deliveries, generating shipment bookings on time, dealing with e-mail queries from Overseas offices as well as ensuring that excellent standard of data accuracy are maintained in a timely and efficient manner.
Your tasks and responsibilities
1. Operational duties to include coordination with forwarders, suppliers, truckers, warehouses and Internal stakeholders for the export of shipments.
2. Complete process of shipment includes arranging for pick-up or inland transportation, booking, document preparation (bill of lading, invoicing, certificate of origin, export declaration), consolidation loading plan coordination and follow-up.
3. Customer Service responsibilities include maintaining communication with vendor, forwarder, customer, overseas offices throughout the process of shipping and consolidating. Secure special requirements and preferred routing/services/forwarder of customer.
4. Maintain all necessary shipping data in Transport Management System in real time (following standard operating procedures).
5. Keep track of all shipments under your care till vessel departure.
6. Immediately report problems, operation disputes or discrepancies to supervisor, manager.
7. Employees may also have additional responsibilities in accordance with supporting a specific department(s)/division(s) and/or be tasked with specific, individualized assignments.
8. Resolve issues respective to meeting client requirements, data input - general customer service inquiries related to tracking & tracing.
Your skills and experience
1. Minimum Bachelor level preferably in International Commerce or other relevant major
2. 3 to 5 years working experience in an international company with more than 50+ and in a highly structured environment, preferably in a (international) forwarder, carrier, trading company, factory.
3. Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office, familiar with ERP system in general, able to work in a structured system.
4. Strong reading and written communication skills; and PC skills both in English and Mandarin.
5. Quick learner, able to multi task and can work under pressure.
