FW Architect

Micron Technology’s Advanced Controller Group is focused on developing leading-edge memory controller and System-on-Chip (SoC) designs, incorporating advanced HW and FW to enable Micron’s SSD and mobile NAND product roadmap.

Responsibilities and Tasks:

In this role you will be responsible for working with system, hardware and other firmware architects to define, design and help lead implement the firmware stack for new ranges of Micron developed SSD controllers. This will be designed to be optimized with the latest high efficiency NAND flash and other future solid state memory and optimized for the client marketplace in terms of power, reliability, cost and performance.

You will also have the opportunity to work with, and as part of, other teams designing controller architectures for other business segments from mobile to enterprise and to manage other forms of volatile and non-volatile memory.

This is a key role in advancing our overall business with wide ranging impact across our organization and company.

Experience:

? At least 2-year plus experience in firmware or embedded software architecture
? Or newly graduate who is top student in the university as relevant major
? Experience in developing performance modeling and optimization
? Sufficient reading and writing skills in communicating with English-speaking natives
? In depth knowledge of interfaces including PCI Express, AHCI, SATA, SAS, UFS, eMMC
? In depth experience of software and firmware development methodologies
? Knowledge of current state of the art development tools and real world application
? Experience of working in a sophisticated technology company

Education:
? MSCS/MSEE or equivalent required (computer science or electronic engineering)
