JOB DESCRIPTION:
Professional:
1. Procurement market analysis
2. Advising the business units and manufacturing sites in matters of procurement structure
3. Concept of strategic projects to improve supply chains
4. Evaluation and optimization of national and international supplier structures
5. Risk analysis of existing supply chain arrangements
6. Determination of the overall cost of supply chains; comparison and evaluation of alternatives in terms of suppliers, production locations, or "make or buy" decisions
7. Development / implementation / monitoring of new logistics approaches such as VMI with suppliers for the respective production sites
8. Personal responsibility for contract and price negotiation with relevant international suppliers
9. Development of procurement strategies for the Group to realize cost reduction programs
10. Support of projects and their development
11. Management / removing bottlenecks in the availability of materials (including short-term market activity)
12. Summary of global purchasing volumes as well as preparation of material group analysis
13. Ensuring the planned cost reductions in purchased parts within the material groups
14. Supplier evaluation and monitoring (Performance), selection and care
15. Supplier auditing and enforcement of claims
16. Development of selected suppliers to strategic partners

General:
1. Support the identification of key performance indicators and budget
2. Communication with affiliates in all important information as to purchasing, contract and availability
3. Reporting

Special:
1. Contact person within the group in issues and decisions that are related to strategic purchasing commodity
2. Contact person for all questions regarding new production/product developments at suppliers

JOB REQUIREMENT:
1. Commercial studies with high technical background in the field of elastomers or other appropriately qualified training
2. Comprehensive detailed knowledge of global supply markets (component procurement and EMS / CMS) as well as good relationships with manufacturers / suppliers
3. Professional purchasing and negotiating experience, at least 7 years of relevant experience in this international environment in a responsible position
4. Good knowledge of the specific requirements of the automotive industry
5. Safe use of SAP as well as excellent language skills in English and any other languages
6. Task and the environment appropriate measures, achieve ambitious goals as per KPI and are proficient in the use and pursuit of self-imposed or required performance indicators (KPI).
7. To understand people from other cultures and disciplines as well as the different ways of thinking and working needed for positive use in negotiations / discussions as essential for tasks.
8. Skills and personality which establish the basis for constructive external and internal calls and develop long-term relationships. Professional and safe international business dealing.
9. Significant diverse procedures using known methods and standards (decision within prescribed "guidelines")
10. Differentiation in situations what are required analysis to reach solutions safely and professionally.

Alfmeier was founded in Germany in the 1960s, devoted to developing the valve and fuel system technology. The Company achieved steady increase in sales and profits and gained a good reputation in the European automotive industry.

Since its inception, Alfmeier Prazision AG has been headquartered in the town of Weisenburg, Bavaria, Germany, aiming to build Alfmeier as a top-ranking auto parts manufacturer in the world. And the nearby Treuchtlingen factory has also adopted the modern testing and engineering facilities to develop the most advanced products and processes.

Alfmeier established a representative office in Shanghai, China, in 2005. The Shanghai representative office was transformed into a trading company in 2007. Since Alfmeier found that it has good business prospects in China, the Company decided to transform the trading company into a manufacturing company. Therefore, Alfmeier set up its first production line in Jinqiao Import and Export Processing Zone, Pudong District, Shanghi in October, 2010. However, due to the explosive growth of businesses in 2012, small scale production cannot meet order demands from customers. Therefore, Alfmeier moved its plant from Pudong District to Qingpu District, establishing a new plant with a gross area of 4,000㎡which was formally set up and put into use in March, 2012. The company develop injection business in the second plant in 2016. With the rapid increase of the production output of the Company, Alfmeier’s all in-service employees have amounted to over 500 in 2020.
