Position Name: Senior Design Engineer
Reporting to: Principle Design engineer
Eligibility / Qualification Criteria:-
Degree qualified (B Eng) Mechanical Engineering or above. Masters is preferred
Experience:-
Minimum of 5 years experience as a Engineer in manufacturing company for product design.
Operating in 3D CAD environment (preferably UG NX).
Proven working knowledge of mobile equipment design and development.
Job Role
1. Prepare design concepts, GA’s and drawings for new designs, and solutions to field issues on current and new products.
2. Preparation of technical specifications and bills of material.
3. Capable of engineering calculations to substantiate engineering decisions.
4. Prepare, update, issue and checking design control documents such as Engineering change notes, timing plans, cost estimation, fit for purpose documents etc.
5. Hands-on prototype builds support and testing.
6. Design of machinery and subsystems such as hydraulic circuits, power train, electrical and fabricated structures.
7. Selection and specification of components and materials including plastics, cast iron & steel, rubber.
8. Experience of working in a manufacturing environment. Knowledge of the types of different manufacturing processes and supply chain used in the production of construction or similar equipment.
Job Skills
1. Proficient in 3D CAD system operation (UG NX preferable) to conduct design studies and concept work. Knowledge of PLM/Team center is preferred.
2. Skilled in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
4. Able to demonstrate understanding of hydraulics, fabricated structures, mechanisms, welding, engine installations, drive lines used on mobile equipment.
6. Skilled in problem solving and root cause analysis.
7. Enthusiasm and sense of urgency.
8. Travel on business may be required periodically.
9. Good level of spoken & written English.
10. Strong sense of responsibility and passion for work
