The Role:
The Payments team is here to ensure that Farfetch gives its customer a quick, easy and reliable experience when buying at Farfetch.
As part of a rapidly growing company with keys markets on every continent, the Payment Specialist will be an enthusiastic expert that drives the team forward to offer a world-class, multi-channel payment experience across the globe.
The Payments Specialist will support and improve the processes and experiences for customers in APAC countries through the customer payment lifecycle at Farfetch. The role supports both our end customer and our internal customers, and sits within the Payments team in the E-commerce Operations department.
What You’ll do:
? Work with the APAC Operations Manager and Global Payments Manager to create and deliver the Payments strategy for APAC countries
? Identify and deliver streams of work to improve our KPIs in the areas of authorization rates, conversion, cost, uptime and support
? Work closely with product teams on high complexity and impact projects throughout the product lifecycle
? Work with all departments to drive process improvements within the team and in interactions with Delivery, Fraud, Finance, Customer Service and Account Managers amongst others
? Work closely with Finance to assure all the deadlines are met regarding the monthly accounting processes
? Liaise with IT Security, Finance and Fraud teams amongst others to ensure all areas of payment processing are supported and remain compliant
? Manage and control operational processes such as allocating incurred cost to internal departments
? Manage day-to-day relationships with payment providers and internal stakeholders, ensuring expectations are clear and achievable
? Liaise with our external payment providers whenever necessary to resolve issues and queries in chargeback management and customer issues
? Keep up to speed with payments news, trends and regulations in APAC countries
? Work with the Global Payments Manager to share knowledge about payment methods in APAC countries
Besides, also support to execute daily tasks, incl.
? Achieve KPIs relating to supporting the order lifecycle like chargeback defense, refund management, and supporting queries from internal customers and stakeholders for Chinese payment methods
? Detect daily issues and support the tech team in resolving them
Who You Are:
? A professional with extremely strong understanding of the e-commerce payments industry and landscape, with multi-channel experience a plus
? 5 years of working experience with 1-3 years of relevant experience with e-commerce payment industry is mandatory
? A strategic thinker, a professional with deductive reasoning and with leadership skills
? Able to interpret complex data to identify opportunities and make decisions
? Able to thrive in a fast paced dynamic environment – we have no shortage of opportunities but limited time. You need to be able to effectively assess, prioritize, and execute
? A professional with commercial acumen, both in terms of how a business succeeds and in terms of payments pricing
? Able to lead and mentor
? A professional with proven collaboration skills
? A professional with excellent communication skills, both in day-to-day interactions and in more formal situations
? Knowledgeable of Excel
? Fluent in English and Mandarin
