职位描述：
1. KEY RESPPONSIBILITIES
The Warranty & Reliability Engineer reports to China Region Quality Supervisor, and has the following primary responsibilities for designated PowerTrain Cooling (PTC), Engine Cooling Product (EGRC and LCOC) customers and manufacturing locations:
? Coordinate production verification and audit testing of all products.
? Evaluate test results for compliance to internal and customer specifications.
? Provide administrative and technical support for product warranty and field failures.
? Initiate corrective action procedures for field and test failures.
? Report warranty and testing results to division personnel on a regular basis

The incumbent will have the following specific responsibilities:
? Initiate product testing as required by customer and Modine specifications.
? Investigate failure modes through product sectioning, disassembly, and subsequent Chemical & Metallurgical Laboratory work orders to identify root cause.
? Disposition of warranty claims.
? Determine of the amount of financial responsibility under established guidelines and the interpretation of customer specific warranty agreements.
? Report claim disposition and initiate credit to customers on a regular basis.
? Simulation & duplication of failure modes and product improvements through laboratory testing as necessary to verify completion of corrective action
? Communicate warranty and reliability information to application and manufacturing engineering.
? Utilize statistical methods to track reliability test results, analyze failure data to identify potential problem trends, track product improvements, and provide predictive data for regional and divisional engineering and management.
? Coordinate and maintain an efficient flow of returned product testing and analysis within different regions.

2. REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
General minimum experience of 5 years in engineering. In addition to customer and project
assignments requiring greater skills and experience, the incumbent provides leadership and
guidance to less experienced engineers. An in-depth understanding of all applicable products,
processes, applications, and warranties are required. Is aware of industry trends and plays a key
role in future planning.
3. EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
A Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical field is required.

4. TRAVEL:
The incumbent may travel to customer or Modine locations to gather further information on customer product failure modes or to provide technical, warranty and reliability back-up to the sales account representative. The incumbent may also occasionally travel to customer locations to conduct failed product reviews, present product failure information, or resolve other specific warranty and reliability issues.
