Supporting Regional Controller Group of GM International Operation (GMIO). This role will be responsible for financial reporting and analysis under both legal entity and country of sales, including:
- Monthly closing and reconciliation for GMIO headquarter (IOHQ) accounting
· Monthly topside Journal Entry (JE) preparation and posting in SAP
· Monthly SAP Trial Balance (TB) submission and validation
· Monthly balance sheet account reconciliation for headquarter entities
· Monthly monitor significant Non-GMIO JEs booked by other accounting team for IOHQ entities
· Monthly monitor inter-company imbalance results and work with GBS/Conduent/Allied parties for investigation if any
· Monthly perform preview of EBIT and Cash flow vs. forecast for the headquarter entities and distribute to regional Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A)
· Monthly prepare ISP rental, Car Rental, and KPMG Benefit-in-kind report for Singapore headquarter (SGHQ)
· Monthly/Quarterly/Yearly prepare IOHQ SEC requests
· Monthly prepare SOX checklist to ensure compliance
· Yearly prepare/assist external statutory audit for IOHQ entities
· Review and approve intercompany rebill if any
· SAP maintenance (General Ledger/26 digit rebill code/cost center) creation and coordination if any
· Be SAP super user for applying access to IOHQ and SGHQ entities
- Monthly/quarterly Regional Results Review (RRR) for Balance Sheet or Cash Flow
Both roles require respective candidate:
- To support/coordinate BU/Corporate Controller team on any issues might arise during daily work/closing, including, but not limited to, accounting policy, closing procedure/calendar, balance sheet/cash flow
- To work cross-functionally on accounting matters within finance team (for instance, regional FP&A, regional Tax, Regional Treasury) and/or other business functions inter/intra regionally
- To lead/support GMIO/GMI controller group’s transformation/ad-hoc projects if any
Experience
- Minimum of 6 years experience in a Big 4 accounting firm with audit experience of public listed companies. Corporate experience is a plus.
- Experience in audit of US or HK public listed companies is advantageous.
Education and/or Certifications
- Bachelors/Masters degree in Accounting or Finance
- CPA / CICPA required (AICPA preferred)
