Job Description Oeko Tex Auditor

Hohenstein China is looking for an Auditor for our Oeko Tex department. Oeko Tex is leading the textile industry’s development towards safer more environmentally friendly and sustainable production with our standards “Oeko Tex 100” and “Oeko Tex STeP”.

As Oeko Tex Auditor you will visit the production facilities of our customers to inspect the factory conditions and processes.
Job Responsibilities
? To audit the textile company according to international textile ecology standards for social and environment compliance.
? To perform factory auditing (including making up, dyeing, printing, finishing process etc.).
? Carry out Factory Evaluation, Health, Safety and Labor law inspection, and documents verification as well as workers interviews.
? Checking chemical usage in textile dyeing mills.
? Record the audit process in a professional manner. Communicate the findings with factory management, discuss any non-compliance issues with them, issue Corrective Action Plans and verify improvements.
? Manage auditing team and check and write Auditing Report.
? In addition to the external customer audits according to Oeko Tex standard the job also involves from time to time doing internal audits of our Quality Inspectors in the Inspection Department according to company internal standards.
? The job requires extensive traveling within Mainland China (paid by the company).


Job Requirements
? Bachelor’s degree or above, major in textile, dyeing and finishing or chemical is preferable.
? At least 5 years working experience in production of materials, finishing, making up, knowledge on QM system.
? At least 4 years of relevant auditing experience in other companies or 3rd party audit firms.
? CCAA Certified Auditor with Auditing Experience according to at least one of the following standards: Oeko Tex 100, Oeko Tex STeP, ISO 9001, ISO 14001, SA 8000, OHS18001.
? Frequent travel is required
? Fluent in speaking, reading and writing English and Mandarin Chinese.
? Frequent travel is required.
? Experience from working in a foreign company is preferred.
? Self-Motivated and with ability to work independently.
? Good presentation and report writing skills.
? Good communication skill and interaction with client and team members.
