Summary:

The Master Data Management & Maintenance Manager will provide supervision to a small team responsible for master data creation, management, quality and maintenance. This role will interact with subordinates, peers, leadership and internal customers who require support from the master data management team.
 
This role will be responsible for coordinating with the global MDM team to establish and execute a set of processes and tools that consistently define and manage the master data for Donaldson Company. MDM has the objective of providing processes for collecting, aggregating, matching, quality-assuring, persisting and distributing such data throughout and organization to ensure consistency and control in the ongoing maintenance and application use of this information.
 
The role will also be critical in establishing and maintaining standard processes related to the creation and maintenance of master data.
 
The Master Data Management & Maintenance Manager will play a crucial role in performance of assigned master data management and maintenance activities in a timely and accurate manner to provider optimal performance and delivery to internal and external customers.

This role will also act as a Regional Process Owner (RPO) 25% of time which is closely aligned with the MDM activities in the region.
 
 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities of MDM include the following (Other duties may be assigned)
-Supervise the daily operations of the master data management and maintenance team
-Participate in establishing, monitoring and assessing global master data policies and practices
-Developing and enhancing the process to audit & measure the efficiency and quality of the MDM maintenance process
-Facilitating the development, implementation, training and ongoing improvements of a global setup/maintenance process in the assigned areas
-Supporting the global MDM team to ensure the APAC region is following the global process and achieving data quality metrics
-Aids in determining system access rights for creation and maintenance of data
-Identifying and managing data cleanup projects to improve data accuracy
-Become the super user for specific Oracle functionality (i.e. WebADI, Item workflow, Product Information Management-PIM)
-Analysis of business processes and identify opportunities for standardization and continuous improvements
-Assisting with the development / execution of the Global MDM strategy & processes to standardize /centralize master data management and maintenance activities
-Supporting the development of a plan to expand oversight of MDM areas in non-ERP systems (i.e. CRM, etc.)
-Provide coaching and development for direct reports and training to end users/data owners where required
-Plan, prepare, and devise work schedules to ensure sufficient and effective coverage
-Achieve and maintain key performance indicators as agreed with senior management and global MDM leadership

Secondary Duties and Responsibilities as Regional Process Owner (RPO) include the following:

-Develops, validates and supports the design of global business processes and data from a business ownership position to the APAC region
-Identify and resolve gaps in business processes and applications and improve user adoption of solutions.
-Develop and execute standard and optimized business processes with input from site and regional SMA’s.
-Establish competencies and knowledge of relevant Oracle Application Modules. Establish and conduct training and education as part of deployment.
-Participates in project reviews with regional SMA’s (power users) in preparation to finalize deliverables and eventual deployment of processes and software
-Facilitate and support functional and organizational change management activities and actions in support of successful deployment by location and region
-Assess readiness of each location and region for deployment of business processes and applications.
-Select and manage SMA’s (support) to support business process development, agreement, testing and implementation (Help to develop the power user group)
 
Essential Education, Skills and Experience:

-Experience with defining, writing and implementing business processes and data standards (business process / data standard experience in the following areas is a plus: item, customer and suppliers)
-Strong understanding of how data is used for reporting and transactional activities
-Ability to work and influence others
-Experience with providing support and training
-Knowledge of different types of Data Warehouse and Business Intelligence solutions
-Ability to work independently and work on multiple task assignments
-Strong oral and written communication skills, including presentation skills (MS Visio, MS PowerPoint)
-Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
-Strong analytical abilities with experience extracting data and developing reports in an ERP environment
-Strong verbal and written English and region-specific language skills.
-College degree, technical certifications, or equivalent experience required.
-Working knowledge of Oracle R12 application systems processes and support preferred.
 
 


Supervisory Responsibilities:

-Team of 3-4 Master Data Management & Maintenance Analysts
 
Physical/Environmental Requirements:

-Works in a pleasant office environment with other department staff, utilizing a computer workstation and various software applications. Specific work schedule is coordinated with direct supervisor.
-Travel requirement: 10% + Project based requirements
