职位描述：
The Starch Scientist will support research, development, and improvement on starch-related topics. He/she will be involved in a variety of laboratory-based investigations within biological, chemical and physical areas, and will assist with pilot and industrial trials for products as diverse as starch, modified starch, maltodextrins, polyols, branching polymers, and other starch-related products. He/she may conduct reaction and carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analyzing results. The Starch Scientist will be the key person for the development of new physical, enzymatical, and chemical modifidations of starch and the improvement of the existing techniques. He/she will follow the new technical developments within starch and starch derivative areas. He/she provides all the required technical support to enable the laboratory to function effectively while adhering to correct procedures and health and safety guidelines.

? Key person for the development of new physical, enzymatical, and chemical modifications of starch and for the improvement of existing techniques.
? Perform laboratory, pilot, and industrial tests in order to produce reliable and precise data to support scientific investigations: enzymatic, chemical and physical modifications, polymer hydrolysis, monomer crystallization, molecular screening, centrifugation, filtration, purification, and other DSP operations.
? Prepare specimens and samples.
? Construct, maintain, and operate standard laboratory equipment, for example centrifuges, titrators, pipetting machines, pH meters, reactors etc..
? Ensure the laboratory is well-stocked and resourced.
? Record and interpret results to present to senior colleagues.
? Use computers and perform mathematical calculations for the preparation of graphs.
? Keep up to date with technical developments, especially those which can save time and improve reliability.
? Follow and ensure strict safety procedures and safety checks
