Role description
We are building supplier relationships and leveraging those partnerships to strengthen our travel intermediary position to achieve successful and profitable future for us and our clients. In this role the successful candidate will act as the lead point of contact in managing the relationship and negotiation to promotion of new and current preferred suppliers, contributing significantly to supplier revenue generation and customer value proposition. Reporting into the Director, Supplier Relations, APAC, the Senior Manager, Supplier Relations, North Asia will take responsibility in driving Supplier strategy and management for China and Hong Kong.
Responsibilities
? Independently manage Air supplier relationships: effectively present Egencia’s value proposition, proactively negotiate improved contract terms, ownership of supplier SLA and work seamlessly across the Egencia / Expedia organization to implement commissions, advertising, and preferred pricing agreements
? Optimizing and leverage opportunities to grow preferred supplier business
? Ownership of Travelsky relationship, partnering with APAC Supplier Director and Product/Technology management team
? Manage the Egencia legal review and contract filing process
? Support the Air Operations and Fare filing teams to load and audit commission contracts and pricing discounts
? Maintain accurate contract, commission and Egencia Preferred Rate reporting for the Supply and Sales & Account Management organization
? Work closely with the Supply Analytics and Egencia Marketing teams to develop and enhance Airline performance reporting capabilities
? Building our supplier value proposition by effectively and efficiently engaging partners with our Global and Local Sales, Account Management and Customer Services teams to drive business to preferred suppliers and develop new business opportunities
? Working to yield and revenue targets as set by the APAC Director of Supply.
? Undertake any other duties which may be assigned from time to time and may include ad-hoc APAC wide project supporting supplier management initiatives
Qualification / Skills
? Minimum 5 years’ experience in the travel industry
? Presentation and selling skills with a demonstrable track record of delivering results are a must
? Previous airline, GDS/Travelsky, OTA, travel management company experience preferred
? Strong analytical skills including financial and statistical analysis. High level of ability with Excel to translate large data sets into compelling graphics, and present them in an impactful manner
? Strong problem-solving and organization skills. Results driven with a keen sense of intellectual curiosity.
? Exceptional relationship management skills, with the proven ability to calmly navigate through adverse situations
? Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure and frequently-shifting priorities
? Highly professional written and verbal communication skills
? Fluent in both English and Chinese (both written and spoken)
? Highly collaborative and team-centred approach
? BS/MS degree in Business or a related field
