Position/Job Description:
The successful candidate will report to the Electrical Design Team Leader and will be involved in new product development, support the introduction of new product platforms or significant product improvements into the Assembly Division or OEM suppliers and support the current product range. This will necessitate detailed communication with the relevant design authority and the Assembly location.

The main responsibilities of the role include:-

Preferred qualifications:
? Be qualified to bachelor degree level in Mechanical Engineering
? Good product design experience of electrical products would be an advantage, but is not as essential as experience from Ac/Dc electric motors or petrol engine.
? Experience of injection moulded component design would be advantageous.
? Knowledge of different components manufacturing process are required, including machining, die-casting, powder metal, stamping.
? Experience from CAD (Catia) would be beneficial; however, training will be given to the successful candidate.
? Good communication skills in English, both written & spoken are essential.

? Be highly motivated and creative, able to work on their own initiative and should be able to demonstrate a background supporting new product design and introduction of product developments or significant product improvements.
? Be able to possess good communication skills and be capable of dealing with internal & external contacts to drive projects to successful completion within tight project schedules and cost demands.
? Have both practical and analytical skills and should be able to interpret data in an objective manner.
? Have the organisational skills necessary for successful project management.
