Unit/Department Description:

Manufacturing Engineering is responsible for supporting Husqvarna's plants with methodology, technology and tools development in order to achieve production objectives as well as for ensuring new product development meets production requirements.
One of the key functions within Manufacturing Engineering is Product Engineering, which has the following main responsibilities.
? Responsible for preparing factories to produce products through designing and implementing new layouts and manufacturing processes
? Responsible to plan, specify and acquire tools and equipment (in collaboration with Purchasing)
? Responsible for development and deployment of Husqvarna standard manufacturing processes in line with HOS
? Represents Injection Moulding Engineering in the Production Creation Process (PCP)

Position/Job Description:

Production Engineering is organized in production oriented teams. The Production Engineer for Injection Moulding/Moulds is part of a team. The team members are responsible for all Production Engineering related matters for the Injection Moulding Process.

Essential Duties:

Work to ensure that all Husqvarna's plants are properly set up to injection mould their products to specification and targets. Be a member of a global team for Production Engineering for the Injection Moulding Process and Injection Moulds.
Share leading practices and lessons learned, use consistent methodologies and pursue deliverables that are aligned with corporate Supply Chain and Manufacturing Engineering objectives and develop professional skills in executing the following:
? Based on input from Production Preparation, OEM customers and standards, prepare the production for new and upgraded products through detailed planning of the production process.
? Ensure that plant and equipment is ready to produce new products to specified requirements.

? Support R+D and Design Department during the design phase with all necessary information related to Injection Moulding.
? Plan, specify requirements and acquire injection moulds and equipment (in collaboration with Purchasing).
? Based on deep knowledge about internal needs and external best practice, develop and maintain Husqvarna Injection Moulding and Injection Moulds standards to drive costs, flexibility and quality.
? Support manufacturing and injection moulding plants in troubleshooting and resolving complex problems that the plants are not able to manage themselves. E.g. through workshops and Kaizen events.

Preferred qualifications:

Education:

? Minimum: Bachelor's Degree in engineering (injection moulding) or other relevant discipline
? Preferred: Master's Degree

Experience:

? Minimum 5 years of injection moulding/mould related experience
? Minimum 5 years of experience in the product creation process

Languages:

? Fluent English (written and oral)
? Fluent in additional languages is an advantage

Skills and Capabilities:

? Strong skills in project management
? Strong planning, organization, analytical and problem solving skills
? Deep insights in injection moulding operations (plants, products, etc). Sufficient to analyse manufacturing issues; recommend solutions and implement changes.
? Strong interpersonal skills (e.g., tact/diplomacy, listening, conflict resolution, etc.)
? Understanding the importance of customer service and internal stakeholder management
? Ensure that the plant and equipment is ready to produce new products to specified requirements
? Excellent understanding of the Product Creation Process (PCP)
