Position/Job Description:

The successful candidate will report to the Petrol Design Team Leader and will support the introduction of new product platforms or significant product improvements into the Assembly Division or OEM suppliers and support the current product range. This will necessitate detailed communication with the relevant design authority and the Assembly location.



The main responsibilities of the role include:

Engine Development within product projects
Design Improvement
Problem Solving / Troubleshooting
Analyze of validation results
Component Qualification


Preferred qualifications:

You will be qualified to bachelor degree level mechanical engineering or have documented experience from engine design and development.

Familiarity with engine related products, and preferably at least 3 years experience

Experience from engine component design, both from moulded, casted, and forged components, would be advantageous.

Experience of CAD (Catia) would be beneficial; however, training will be given to the successful candidate.

Good communication skills in English, both written & spoken are essential.

The successful candidate must be highly motivated, able to work on their own initiative and should be able to demonstrate a background supporting the introduction of product developments or significant product improvements. You should possess good communication skills and be capable of dealing with internal & external contacts to drive projects to successful completion within tight project schedules and cost demands.

Applicants will have both practical and analytical skills and should be able to interpret data in an objective manner.

Suitable candidates will have the organisational skills necessary for successful project management.

You should be creative and have a desire to develop new product designs to maintain Husqvarna's position as the leading manufacturer of outdoor products in the world.
