Job description: Chief Technology Officer (Shanghai, China)
Red Pulse is a new market intelligence platform founded by industry veterans in Greater China’s investment management space, and provides daily updates on events and trends taking place within the financial services sector. We are currently accepting applications for the position a Chief Technology Officer.
We’re searching for a self-driven and technically gifted individual that can design, develop, improve upon, and oversee the overall Red Pulse platform from a technical perspective using your skills in machine learning, AI, and natural language processing. You will also help choosing the architecture and infrastructure tools needed to build out the platform. Candidates will also be responsible for building out the team and mentoring junior developers.
Responsibilities
？ Experience managing team of 10+ developers and ability to lead development of software projects: project planning, meeting of deadlines, client requests.
？ Thorough understanding of machine learning, data mining, and implementation of algorithms. Plus for knowledge in deep learning.
？ Understanding of big data engineering, infrastructure, databases, cloud computing / AWS.
？ Software programming experience. Knowledge in Python, SKLearn, and NLP packages. Plus for R, Scala, Julia, Tensorflow.
？ Interest in new technologies, such as blockchain.
Qualifications
？ Preferred work experience at mainland based start-ups or BATJ.
？ Fluency in both English and Mandarin.
