Based at Ricardo Shanghai Technical Centre in China, your role as, Chassis Systems Engineer, will involve effectively managing the local chassis systems development of global new energy vehicle program.

Your main responsibilities would include:

? Participate in chassis system supplier selection reviews and site visits
? Support the vehicle OEM sourcing process with necessary engineering documentation and technical expertise
? Lead interface between local vehicle OEM Purchasing, Engineering and Manufacturing, and global Ricardo Engineering team
? Liaise with global Ricardo Engineering team to support component design/packaging, attribute development, prototype build through to production launch
? Understand customer manufacturing requirements
? Ensure compliance with all standards including customer and legislative requirements
? Support in country Design Verification (DV) planning and delivery
? Support maintenance of key project related documentation such as bill of material, DFMEA’s, problem tracking database, engineering specifications, etc.

Skills:
? 5+ years’ experience in Chassis Systems Engineering – frames, steering and suspension, brakes, driveshaft and wheels and tyres. Cross discipline experience is an advantage
? Knowledge of Chassis Systems manufacturing processes including stamping, forging, casting, rubber moulding or other
? Knowledge of new energy vehicle architecture
? Understanding of vehicle OEM product development systems
? Supplier management; Supplier selection, Statement of Requirements, communication, project timing, prototype / production tooling, DV testing, issue resolution commercial negotiations
? Proficient at Mandarin and English written and oral communication

Qualifications:
? Bachelor or Master Degree in an applicable Engineering discipline
? Six Sigma Green Belt (desirable)
