Position Summary:
We are looking for a Media Analyst for Merkle’s Media Analytics team within Agency Service Group, which is responsible for providing analysis, insight and optimization recommendations across display, programmatic, video, and paid social channels. You will have the opportunity to be a part of an innovative, fast growing team focused on revolutionizing digital media planning and buying, in the context of a multi-channel data driven approach.
We are looking for analytical, passionate, and experienced professionals who want to be part of an innovative team in a rapidly evolving industry. This position will work closely with both Media Service team and Platforms & Solutions team in the United States.

Position Responsibilities:
The Media Analyst provides analysis that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing strategy. You will tie the optimization metrics to the strategic intent of campaigns and the underlying business objectives.
The Media Analytics team works closely with the Media Services and Platforms & Solutions teams across Merkle’s offices in the US and in China. Together, these teams work collaboratively to plan, execute, measure, and optimize advertising initiatives for our clients. We’re looking for an analytical and web-savvy problem solver to help launch, troubleshoot, and measure client campaigns across multiple industry leading ad platforms, all while improving existing processes through initiatives of automation, documentation, and scale. The ideal candidate is curious and tenacious in solving problems, as well as an expert communicator – comfortable translating complex details to audiences of different technical knowledge.
? Provide meaningful insights and interpretation of data, with actionable recommendations
? Provide key support to the Media Service team in many aspects of digital media campaigns, including campaign analysis and optimizations
? Manage campaign timelines and deliverables across internal and external teams
? Partner with Merkle’s US team to help drive services and delivery at scale
? Act as in-house platform expert and escalation point on product and technology issues
? Document best practices and seek out opportunities to improve existing processes
This position reports to the Lead, Media Analytics team of Agency Service.

Position Qualifications:
Merkle will consider entry level candidates for this position.

What This Position Requires
? 6 to 24 months experience in digital analytics, client services, consulting or project management
preferred
? Experience with data analysis, R programming/SAS/SQL and relational databases
? Strong analytical skills and a natural affinity for numbers is key; You must be able to analyze
numbers such as CPC or CPA, draw conclusions and develop actionable recommendations as
needed
? Good communication skills, Strong English speaking and writing skills

? An active interest in digital media and how digital innovation is driving change
? Programmatic experience leveraging data from Ad server, DSP, DMP is a plus
? Experience with pixels / measurement beacons a plus
? Passion for solving problems with technical solutions
? Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced, high energy environment
? Fluency in the language of digital media: Impressions, CTR, CPM, conversions, etc.
? Knowledge of HTML; experience with image editing
? Proficiency in Excel VBA Macro
? Sharp problem solving and troubleshooting skills
? Passion for building, and a strong customer service gene
? An entrepreneurial spirit, desire to "change the game", self-starter attributes
