Supplier Quality Manager
1. Mission
The SQE Manager manages and allocates resources needed to achieve quality assurance of purchased items.The activity scope is parts purchased and developed by CVGAchieve the purchasing objectives for her/his segments in accordance with Purchasing Strategic Objectives and with the customers’ needs.
 
2. Responsibilities
· Ensure team is leading and coordinating Supplier Quality Assurance activities in accordance with defined strategies and targets.
· Communicate CVG objectives and demands to suppliers, together with the SQE team.
· Manage and empower team to fulfillment of APQP & PPAP for projects and ensure the right reporting and escalation.
· Monitor the quality performance of his supplier base and take action in case of deviation toward the objectives.
· Ensure and coach team to implement improvement activities at the supplier facilities.
· Represent purchasing in quality assurance matters internally and externally.
· Represent SQE in appropriate Supplier Selection Committee
· In collaboration with other SQE Managers, manage the work split of Supplier Quality Engineers globally to gain efficiency and effectively.
· Is responsible for the development of the employees within their respective Supplier Quality Group.
· Is responsible for cost consciousness related to expenses
· Take part in defining the strategic vision for SQE in support of organizational quality objectives.
· Develop and implement tools and practices as needed to achieve quality objectives.
 
3. Authorities
The Supplier Quality Manager has the mandate to implement actions to fulfill the above described responsibilities on continental or site geographical breadth.Stop purchase of material not conforming to quality demands. Make recommendation for approval or refusal of the sourcing cases presented in relevant Sourcing Committee.
 
4. Competence
· University / college graduated
· 5 years of purchasing, quality, manufacturing or product development experience
· Experience from international environment
· Preferably experience from the automotive industry.
· Business oriented mindset
· Strong leadership skills
· Ability to adapt/interface with the culture of team members and stakeholders with various background and cultures
· Experience in relationship with suppliers
· Structured with good analytical skills
· Preventive mindset but also leadership when it comes to solve problems or to take decisions
· Ability to create networks and to lead cross functional activities within multi-cultural teams
· Excellent communication skills
· Strong continuous improvement skills
· Fluent in English and local language when necessary
