Industrial Minerals is the market leading resource for in-depth non-metallic minerals pricing intelligence.
We’re looking for a Market Reporter to assess key reference and benchmark prices and report on markets and companies to which they are relevant. By capturing key price movements in regular assessments and reporting on them the Market Reporter is at the forefront of Industrial Mineral’s relationship with the minerals and mining industry.
Responsibilities
? Discover and assess prices for IM in line with its methodology and specifications
? Produce market commentary on IM’s prices
? Research and write original, accurate and readable news stories in a timely manner
? Seek opportunities to expand or modify IM’s current pricing
? Continually maintain and expand a list of contacts and information sources
? From time to time travel out of the office in order to: meet contacts, attend conferences, visit works, conduct interviews, attend press conferences, entertain contacts, and undertake other tasks. While on such visits, file original stories in a timely fashion
Key skills, qualifications and experience
? Experience in B-2-B journalism, preferably in commodities
? Pricing markets experience is ideal but not essential
? Degree-educated
? Strong written and spoken English; spoken Mandarin skills
? Spoken Mandarin preferred but not required
? Interest in economics, commodities and metals is beneficial
