Position: Technical Management

Location: Beijing

Job description:
a) Supporting the creative process (Contributing to the creative brainstorm and turning ideas into reality)
b) Support in putting pitch proposals together
c) Creating a technical brief for vendors.
d) Interaction with venues
e) Understanding technical drawings and CAD drafting.
f) Understanding event technology (lighting, Audio, A/V, IT)
g) Understanding the construction process
h) Supporting the project managers in producing projects.
i) Understanding the communication protocols.
j) Understanding how to run a bump in/out (Safety, time pressures and priorities, doing it right, managing vendors on site)

Business Management:
a) Budget management and cost control
b) Reviewing contracts


Other experience:
To achieve an all rounded education of Jack Morton and our work there will be a number of other assignments the Intern may be asked to participate in; examples as follows:
a) Supporting the Ideas team through research of latest technical solutions, Contributing to the ideation process and helping to create compelling brand experience proposals for our clients
b) Supporting the Operations & Technical team by working on projects during the pitch, pre-production, and/or playing an on-site role in support of executing compelling Brand Experiences

Basic Requirements:
Jack Morton Intern applicants should possess the following existing skills:

c) Fluency (both written and verbal) in either Putonghua (and simplified Chinese) or English
d) Conversational ability in either Chinese or English
e) Good IT skills - at least knowledge and experience in using Microsoft Office suite), AutoCAD, Adobe Creative suite and use of English keyboards
f) Be enrolled in or successfully completed a University level degree, ideally in a course aligned to technical or theatrical production.
g) A willingness to demonstrate Jack Morton's values PASSION, AGILITY and RESPECT
