职位描述：
Responsibilities
1. Work in the field of high-power fiber-coupled diode laser devices in Zhangjiang High-Technology Park of Shanghai.
2. Direct engineering technicians. Lead R&D projects at nLight Shanghai.
3. Drive continuous improvement activities in a manufacturing environment. Independently & effectively work with multiple cross-functional teams to ensure high quality and yields on daily production activities.
4. Coordinate manufacturing engineering as well as R&D projects with US technical teams.

Job Descriptions
1. Lead and execute optical design & process improvement work, from concept to completion, in the field of high-power fiber-coupled diode laser devices.
2. Conduct optical simulation and modeling. Apply design tolerance studies to improving manufacturing process & yield.
3. Lead new product transfer from US headquarters, and eventually realize high-volume production in nLight Shanghai.
4. Drive continuous improvement tasks utilizing wide variety of analytical techniques, such as SPC, Gage R&R, DOE, and six sigma concepts.
5. Train production personnel, document work instructions, lead continuous process improvement projects, and optimize/automate existing processes.
6. Evaluate, procure, and qualify new manufacturing equipment and tools.
7. Direct daily activities of engineering technicians, train them and help them improve their knowledge and problem solving skills.
8. Learn and follow the New Product Introduction (NPI) procedure defined by corporate.

Requirements
1. >=4 years of work experiences in one of the following fields: (a) semiconductor lasers or other optoelectronics devices; (b) precision optical & electro-mechanical assemblies; (c) optical systems,(d) fiber laser etc.
2. Masters in Science/Engineering (Optical, Physics, Laser and etc.) or exceptional industrial experience in closely related technologies. Masters with extensive work experience is preferred.
3. Good analytical & practical knowledge of geometrical and physical optics. Hands-on experience with Zemax and Solidworks is a plus.
4. Good data analysis & problem solving skills.
5. Experience with new product introduction, qualification, and product lifecycle process is a plus.
6. Experience with ramping optoelectronics products/technologies in a high volume production environment is another plus.
