German Mechanical Engineering Commercial Services Co., Ltd. (GMECS) is the official service provider of VDMA China.
GMECS is looking for a new Project Manager (Woodworking Machinery and Metallurgy):

Position: Project Manager (Woodworking Machinery and Metallurgy)
Tasks:
? Networking: regular contact with VDMA member companies in China including site visits; especially in the field of Woodworking Machinery and Metallurgy and related industries as well as with press, exhibition and association contacts.
? Desk Research: research industry news (incl. standards) and regularly compile English industry reports or similar communication formats
? Organise China Management Meetings in China (room booking, acquire speakers, distribution of agenda & address, phone follow-up with participants to ensure their attendance)
? Other projects as required by German VDMA sector (press conference, roadshows, seminars, competitor study etc.)
? Translations incl. technical translations
? Compile & Update trade fair overview of industry (excel-sheet)
? You directly report to the Branch Manager of the Shanghai office with regard to all office and disciplinary matters.
? You will be in contact with German colleagues from VDMA (German Engineering Association)and GzFmbH (Gesellschaft zur Foerderung des Maschinenbau mbH), Frankfurt, by emails and personal contact with regard to work content details
Requirements:
? Speak and write English and Chinese – German is a plus
? Degree in mechanical engineering or business administration and >2-3 years of work experience
? Work self-dependent, team-orientated and deliver according to deadlines even under pressure
? Very good communicator
? Strong organizational skills
? Analytic thinking
? Using Windows/PC standard software (PowerPoint, Excel, Word)
? Proper attire when meeting with VDMA members and other partners
? Willingness to Travel/ Flexibility & Agility If you are interested in this position,
