Senior Software Engineer
Candidate is a senior-level software engineer with strong technical ability in architecture, design, development, and implementation for NETSCOUT WLAN solutions. The successful candidate will join our efforts to realize innovative technology and next-generation solutions that enhance our strong product suite. Candidate will be a key contributor to the effort to empower our valued customers by providing industry leading WLAN solutions in areas of 24x7 wireless security and performance monitoring.
Job Responsibilities
? Participate in the maintenance and development of AME program
? Lead and work with junior engineers to design and implement new features/products
? Expected to have a wide-ranging experience, uses professional concepts and company objectives to resolve complex issues in creative and effective ways
? Leads technical specification discussions and be able to identify key risks to projects and propose corrective actions
Qualifications
? 5+ years of overall professional experience in software development
? Solid C/C++ development and debug skills
? Experience/knowledge of networking protocols (ex. IP/TCP/UDP/HTTPS) and WLAN protocols (802.11 family)
? Thorough understanding and experienced in STL, windows DLL, multi-threads, Socket, XML and COM/DCOM
? Knowledge and development experience of relational database (ex. SQLServer, Oracle, PostgreSQL).
? Work well in team environment and have good English communication and interpersonal skills
Plus
? Java knowledge and experience is a plus.
? JavaScript and Web development experience a plus
? Knowledge of WLAN security a plus
? Packet analysis experience a plus
? Scripting skill (Python, Shell, etc.) a plus
? Knowledge/Experience on C# and .Net a plus
Education: Minimum Bachelor Degree or Equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or related majors
