POSITION FUNCTION/PURPOSE
The Welding Engineer is the recognized expert in Welding technology, and will demonstrate accountability for functional, business and broad company objectives. In this role, you will be responsible for major and complex assignments with long-term business implications, manage complex issues within functional area(s) of expertise and contribute to the overall business strategy.

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Prepare weld procedures and documentation to support welding process as well as weld maps in order to ensure the welding process follows the most efficient and high quality process possible.
2. Prepare written instructions and revise all the documents issued whenever required.
3. Determine the most efficient cost effective process.
4. Lead and Plan WPS certification process and activities.
5. Create welding manufacturing process routings and weld maps.
6. Ensure technical support for production, including to welding operators with qualifications & training.
7. Prepare defects analysis reports and ensure technical trouble shootings.
8. Certify welders and maintain qualifications continuity.
9. Responsible for independently performing WPS reviews.

QULIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
1. Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgy/Welding with reputed institute.
2. Working experience with codes - knowledge on ASME IX, AWS D1.1, API 6A, API 6D, API 16A, API 17D, ISO 15609, NACE MR 0175.
3. English Spoken is required.

DESIRED CHARACTERISTICS
1. Welding, NDT and ISO-QA certifications preferred. (AWS/CSWIP/ASNT/ISO).
2. Should have extensive experience resolving field welding issues/non-conformance/weld repair issues etc
3. Sound knowledge on welding process, metallurgy, consumables, heat treatment, mechanical testing, weld specifications, tendering, weld shop audits, non-destructive testing.
4. Highly conversant on WPS, PQR qualifications of carbon steel, low alloy steel, stainless steel, nickel overlays etc. 举报 分享
